The following was written by Mrs. Connie Nutter. Connie has been a very precious "little sister" to Crystal and I  for about 25 years. She has been married to Rick Nutter for 21 years, and they are the parents of two daughters. She makes presentations on this vital subject in schools, correctional institutions, and other groups of young people. I hope you will give serious consideration to the thoughts she is sharing with you here.

Remember God designed you for a special purpose, and Sexual Integrity is the only way to be assured that this area of life will not become a danger, threat, or harm to you, and to others.

The scriptural theme throughout the entire realm of sexual integrity should be Proverbs 11:3  "The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them."

Our faith and belief in The Bible as God’s Holy and written Word gives us our overall bias about sex. We believe that God’s plan is the best. His plan is to save sex for a faithfully, committed marriage.

We desire to reach the youth with the message of sexual integrity. We believe sexual integrity is part of God’s design for mankind and is essential to the well being of each individual, family and society.

Key elements to practicing sexual integrity include:

Ø        The decision to live according to God’s design

Ø        The understanding of the value of life

Ø        The acknowledgement of each individual’s value/worth

Ø        The reality of wholeness in every aspect of our lives: spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.

Ø        The strength and love to remain faithful

Sexual Integrity is expressing your gift of sexuality (manhood, womanhood) in a pure, honest and true way. It is protection in childhood, direction in adolescents, and celebration in adulthood (a faithfully, committed marriage).

In order to maintain integrity, it is important to set boundaries early on in relationships, to communicate your decisions clearly, and to respect other peoples boundaries.

Our Design

By Our Creator's design, we are complex beings. We are a special part of His "original" creation for He made us in His image and in His likeness.

I would like to look at the individual person as a 5 part being. When doing so, we can place those 5 parts of a human being in two different categories: External and Internal.

·        External

o       Physical (body, sexual)

o       Social (God, parents, family, friends, creation, community, government, world)

·        Internal

o       Spiritual (The deepest part of you)

o       Intellectual (What you know and learn)

o       Emotional  (Feelings)

If we are injured in one part of our being, it effects every part of who we are.

In my opinion, our spiritual well being is the most vital part of who we are. God searches our inward parts. His word is full of truth regarding our internal make up.

I believe, that the Lord Jesus made clear the internal part of who we are (spirit, emotion, intellect) effects the external (physical/social). I have included His Words below as well as other references that tie-in with the verses:

Matthew 15:10  And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:

Mark 7:14

 11
Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
Acts 10:15; Romans 4:14,17,20; 1Timothy 4:4; Titus 1:15

12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
13 But he answered and said,
Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
John 15:2; 1 Corinthians 3:12

14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
Isaiah 9:16; Malachi 2:8; Matthew 23:16; Luke 6:39

15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
Mark 7:17

16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
Matthew 16:9; Mark 7:18

17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
1 Corinthians 6:13

18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
James 3:6

19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
Genesis 6:5; 8:21; Proverbs 6:14; Jeremiah 17:9; Mark 7:21

20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
